Bernard Tawfik, M.D.
Bernard Tawfik, MD graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed a residency in Otolaryngology at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Tawfik has been listed in Castle and Connolly’s “How to Find the Best Doctors in New York,” - 1993-1997 editions, and in Castle and Connolly’s “Top Doctors: New York Metro Area” - 1998 to present.
Dr. Tawfik has served as an Attending Surgeon in the Department of Otolaryngology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is a past president of the Long Island Society of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and past president of the medical staff of Glen Cove Hospital. He served as Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology at Glen Cove Hospital for 15 years, and was interim Chief of Surgery at the same hospital.
On September 30, 2014, after 37-years in clinical practice, Dr. Tawfik decided to retire. We wish him well in his future endeavors. We are pleased that Dr. Tawfik has agreed to remain as a consultant to our practice.
